Owain hasn't ever been considered unattractive, though there is a plainness about him that the folks of Bad Aisling don't particularly notice. He's muscular and tanned from his time in the fields and outside with the livestock, as well as hauling and butchering, but he isn't very large. Standing at five-feet and eight inches, Owain's a stock and powerful man, but everyone always says he has kind eyes.
The brown orbs are the light colour of wheat, and he is often seen with a smile on his face. He sometimes keeps a beard, but typically only during the colder months. He dresses plainly, probably even more plainly than his wealth would allow him, but is rather clean for someone who works in dirt and feces. He prides himself on his manners and demeanor, and often stands up straight, even though he has no formal manners.
Polite and soft-spoken, Owain's personality is often described as that of a baby. For one whose work involves butchering and bloodshed, Owain remains positive and upbeat about nearly everything. Never having had much wealth, Owain never had any formal education, but he has taught himself how to read somewhat. His natural amity is something that draws people to him, and Owain is often very well liked in public. He's humourous, outgoing and positive, and never has a mean word to say about anybody.
Owain was born to poverty and hard work, but he never much minded. As a boy, his mother would hold him in one arm while she knitted woolen clothing for the coming winter, or made barley stew with pork fat. He grew up having nothing, so having something was a bit of a shock to him.
At a young age, the Hazy Market farm became rather prominent after a rival dairy farm had an unfortunate accident. The owner, Clydell Salvat, knocked over a candle while working in the barn and set fire to it. The animals and the barn did not make it. Because of the increased demand for their product, Hazy Market's profits increased, though not enough to consider the Till family rich.
When he was of age, Owain was set to help with the chores, exactly as he should have been. He learned how to milk cows, how to aid the bulls in their courtship rituals, and how to help the sick and wounded animals. When he was six, his younger brother Rowan was born. Rowan, a miracle child sent from Roa, was brought up with a better education, all the money his parents earned scraped together to give Rowan a chance. Rowan, however, only ever wanted to work with Owain. Now the two do. Owain does the manual work on the farm, and Rowan handles the business side. The two are very close.

Owain is a simple man, one whose desires stay mostly in Bad Aisling. His father had always aspired to sell meat and dairy to the entire region, and perhaps most profitably in Vienda, but Owain just wants to maintain what he can. Moderate expansion would be fine, but he has no immediate plans to go regional.
Also, his betrothal to Sayri Thorne, the daughter of another farmer, looms much more closely now that she is nearly of age. A pretty girl, Owain has just recently begun to get to know her.
